Postage Error

We were recently informed of a slight error with our postage of sample media packs. We always make sure that the packs are weighed and posted at a post office however the past 10-20 packs that have been sent out were underpriced on postage by 17p. If you were charged for the collection of the pack we ask that you please get in touch so that we can rectify the issue. The mistake has now been resolved but we're really sorry if this mix up has effected you.

Latest Pictures

This past weekend we filmed a wedding in Avebury - the small village famous for its stone circles. The weather was a touch hit and miss at times early on but by early evening it was a beautiful clear day. The photographer working on the wedding was Anna Barclay (visit Anna's website here). Blu-Ray Quality!

Just a quick blog update about blu-ray (yes, again!) - after a very long process of creating, rendering, encoding and burning we have produced our first ever blu-ray wedding video and it looks wonderful! The quality is really quite hard to describe, but it was really wonderful to watch on a high definition television (which was hooked up to a playstation 3) in full 1080i quality!

What was really amazing was the smallest detail showed up, such as fine details on a wedding dress and shoes - something that is somewhat lost on standard DVD videos. Apart from the huge boost in quality, the colours are much more vibrant and bright, giving a really excellent quality of image and the sound is Dolby Digital, giving an excellent level of sound quality.

Blu-ray really is the way forward for wedding and civil partnership videography! For more information about our blu-ray DVD videography services click here.

New Video!

We have now updated our client testimonials page with a video displaying some of our clients feedback. We incorporated both images and video along with what our past clientele had to say about our services. You can check out the video here.

Blu-ray and standard DVD

Now that we are able to offer all new videography projects we undertake on blu-ray, we want to show the comparison of quality between "standard definition" (a normal DVD) and blu-ray (a high definition DVD). Just take a look at the image below from the wedding of Samantha & Benedict.


As you can see, the image on the left is high definition and the image on the right is standard definition. Although the quality of a standard DVD is perfectly acceptable, you can see just how much better the quality of image is on blu-ray. Blu-Ray is finally here!

We have blogged about it before (a number of times!) and we are really very excited to announce that we now offer blu-ray films to all of our new clients! This means that all new clients have the option of purchasing a blu-ray version of their film, giving them the ultimate in picture and sound quality. Blu-Ray videography is still in its infancy but we are very excited to offer full support of the medium.

Blu-Ray is basically a high definition version of a film, it gives you a far superior quality of image, which means the picture you are seeing is the best possible quality. If you want to know more about what blu-ray is and how it works click here. We will still offer standard DVDs with all of our wedding and civil partnership videography packages however we will also offer all new clients the option to purchase a blu-ray version of their film.

Currently blu-ray videography is only available to clients who we have yet to produce the film for, as it's a specific process which requires a raw file of the film (boring jargon, I know!). Hopefully we will be able to offer a blu-ray upgrade of past wedding and civil partnership films we have worked on.

Even if you do not yet own a blu-ray player (or playstation 3), we are suggesting purchasing a copy of your film on blu-ray as it safe guards you for the future. It's a similar situation to when VHS was still the standard, but DVD was creeping in, it's worth it in the long-run as it saves you wishing you'd upgraded at the time!

Just as a quick note, blu-ray films will only play on a blu-ray player, which are not the same as standard DVD players. If you are unsure if you own a blu-ray player please get in touch.
