We've won an award!

We're really pleased to announce that we have won a Wedding Website Award for our wedding and civil partnership videography website! We are now proudly displaying the above award image on our site - just to show off a bit! We are really pleased that our site has won the gold award because the criterea to win such an award is quite stringent. We won our award because we met all of the following:

1) Technical: Good use of technology such as scripting, flash, html etc.

2) Content: Site content is informative or entertaining to the visitor. The content free from spelling or grammatical errors. Content is presented in a logical format. Website must offer goods or a service that is related and/or of interest to the UK wedding business

3) Navigation: The site navigation is intuitive. The navigation is on every page, so as to eliminate use of the browser Back button. It is not possible for the user to become confused in navigating the site.

4) Graphic: The site graphics are pleasing to the eye. The graphics are sufficiently optimized to allow for fast loading of the pages. The graphics do not overwhelm the site, at the expense of the site content. They enhance and complement the site's content.

5) Overall Appeal: The site adds value to the Internet. This is a site visitors would want to visit again. The webmaster/webmistress displays an understanding of web user's behavior in his/her design.

New Service: Video Conversion

Nowdays everyone views video on the go - with sites like youtube and facebook making it possible for everyone to share videos with their friends and family at the touch of the button. We are really pleased to launch another new service to expand our ever growing list of extra services - video conversion!

Sounds a bit boring, doesn't it? It doesn't have the worlds most glamourous name but it is a service that has proven to be popular with clients in the past. If you want to add the highlights of your wedding day to youtube then we can provide you with a converted version of your film so it can be added with ease - you don't have to worry about all of the boring conversion stuff, we'll do it for you and let you have a disc with the file ready to go!

We also offer conversion for iPhones and iPod Touch's - so if you want to show off the fancy wedding or civil partnership videography we can now help you out by converting your film so that you can play it back on your incredibly swish mobile or music player!

Insurance

Not many people ask about this, but everyone seems to like to be reassured about the issue - and the issue is insurance. As we work with members of the general public on a weekly basis filming wedding and civil partnerships we have a type of insurance coverage called Public Liability Insurance. You can read more about what this actually is here.

We are covered for up to £5,000,000 which means that come your big day you have no worries what so ever. We are fully covered as is all of our equipment which we use. New Services

I recently blogged about the launch of some new services to our wedding and civil partnership videography extras. I am really pleased to say that these extra features are now on our website and available for purchase - you can view them here. We have launched three new additional extra services, I will detail each of them below.

DVD Invitations
This is something thats rather uncommon within the wedding industry but we really feel it could take off. We will meet up with you (even if you're not a wedding or civil partnership videography client) and film you inviting your guests to your wedding. It's a casual shoot and we can do as many takes as necessary to get the perfect shot. You can tell your guests all the information they need to know in this really unique and personal way. We will then create the short film on to DVD which you can post to all of your guests. We will design you some custom artwork for the disc displaying you and your partners name, it's really quite something and is a very personal way to invite your guests. We also put the information as text on the DVD as a special feature so they can check their diaries and let you know their response quickly! This service is £200.

Thank You DVD
This service is quite similar to the DVD invitation service, whereby we film you and your partner thanking your guests for their attendance at your big day and to also thank them (if applicable) for their presents. We will come to you and film you and your partner with your personal message to all of your guests. Once again this is quite unusual and not a service offered by many but it's a really unique way to say thank you. As with the DVD invitations, we will create some artwork for the DVD disc so that your guests know its a personal little token from you to them. This service also costs £200.

Second Preview
As standard with every videography project we undertake, we will send our clients a preview of their film. This basically means that you and your partner can view the proposed final film before you show it off to your friends and family - it also gives you a chance for feedback. If there are any changes that you would like we will happily carry these out at no charge (some terms apply). We are now however offering a second preview, which means you and your partner can see a second draft of your film with your changes in place. This means you can once again see the film and give it the OK before we finalise it on to DVD. This service costs £100.

I am really pleased to announce that we will soon be launching some additional services to our wedding and civil partnership videography packages. We already have a series of extras (which you can view here) on our website but we will soon be expanding it with some exciting new features. We aim to have the new features added and available very shortly so check back soon!

Back In The Studio!

Blog Pictures

I was sent a question recently asking if we upload pictures from all of our weddings to this blog - we don't. We only add pictures every so often because we don't want to flood the blog with pictures (after all we're not actually wedding photographers!) and get anyone confused. We try to add some pictures from a recent wedding or civil partnership about once every month or so!

Funny Cake Topper

I found this picture online and thought it was worth sharing on the blog. When filming weddings and civil partnerships we have seen all sorts of cake toppers but nothing ever quite like this! It's from a wedding that took place in America and features the bride and groom a little worse for wear.
